Welcome, Winter!

So, we seem to have "skipped" Fall! After about 2 weeks of lovely fall weather, we get hit with nasty snow!

It snowed all day yesterday, and it took a while to accumulate because the ground was still warm, but it eventually did. Here are a few pics. :)

Psalm 150

Yesterday morning, in church, one of our church deacons gave a powerful testimony of how God has been working in his Family's life this past week. A week ago, the Smith family lost their baby boy, Nathan. They were 37 weeks pregnant. I can only imagine how hard that would be, I can't imagine life without one of my siblings, and I'm sure it would be so much worse to have your child die. But God is at work, and the Smith family have been able to testify that our God is a great God, as the Sovereign Lord, who does everything for our good, for His glory. Praise God for such faith.

After Mr.Smith gave his testimony, he read this Psalm, which I found to be an amazing psalm. If you can't read the above image (which is my desktop background..) It is Psalm 150.
It says ;

Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!
Praise him for his mighty deeds;
praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Praise him with trumpet sound;
praise him with lute and harp!
Praise him with tambourine and dance;
praise him with strings and pipe!
Praise him with sounding cymbals;
praise him with loud clashing cymbals!
Let everything that has breath praise the LORD!

Praise the LORD!

May all that we do bring glory to God alone, may His name be praised forever!

And so the school year begins!

This year will be a good year (Lord willing). I'll be starting my Junior year of Highschool (wewww), and I'll also be working at Taco Bell during the school year.

I started working this week, and I've definitely learned ALOT! :) It's been good though, I appreciated working with Joey his last few days of work. Please pray that I will do well in both my schoolwork AND work as I'm sure it's going to get quite hectic!!

I'm excited to see what God will do this year, how He will stretch me and mold me. Wether I'm ready or not, the school year's here!

So, one week before school starts, unbelievable! Summer has whisked past me! August 31st, I start my 11th grade year of schoolwork (Upper classman, yay!!), and Joey goes off to college. This in some ways is a grand thing (more food, more room in the house, bathroom freed up, etc. :P) But I know I'll miss him!

Where will those long talks about "just about everything" go? He leaves me to talk to DAVY! lol. How will I be able to make fun of you when you're not around? :( Hehe, Joey, I'll miss you, but I'm so excited that you're not going to be too far away!

I'm happy for you, you're ready for this. I'll be praying for you, and I can't wait to see how God uses this year in your life! :)

Holy Socks at Dollar Tree!

It doesn't get much more evangelical than this! Now you can really show the world that you're a Christian by wearing Holy Socks! You can't be spiritual without these! One pair is only a dollar! Get them while supplies last--I'm sure they'll sell out quick! ;)


A few comments on some of my Favorites...

"God is light" -- Now you can show the world that God is light by wearing these great shining socks! Hide it under a shoe? Oh no. These sock are amazing, if you really want to show the world that God is light, you'll suffer for Him and wear these with no shoes! Your reward will be great in eternity, I'm sure...

"God is love" -- He loves you even more if you'll just put on these great socks!

"Member of God's Team" -- Just ask Jesus into your heart to sign up!

"Love God" -- Now stated in the new CROSS-word design, for an extra, spiritual look!

"Property Of Jesus" -- Maybe we could sell this, "He owns you!"

"Wild About Jesus" -- There are too many things wrong with this to write a witty comment.

"Smile, Jesus Loves you!" -- New, evangelistic socks! By one look at these great socks, many will choose Christ to save them!

"Jesus lives in My heart" -- Why is this on a sock?

So this seems to sum up my Summer so far.

I'm loving how much free time I have over the Summer! It's very nice, and I have found I have more time to do something I enjoy, as well as Something I am called to do -- Share the Gospel!

For the past two weeks, the Neeley family as well as my brothers and myself have been able to go out and pass out tracts, as well as actually get several opportunities to talk to people, and go through the whole Gospel.

I'm so thankful for the opportunities God has given me to share the Gospel! I'm also very thankful for the Neeley family, and how God has used them in my life to encourage me!
